Frequently Asked Questions...

What's documentary wedding photography?
This term means that we capture key moments, big and small, in your day but we don't choreograph them. We're there when you cut the cake or throw the bouquet but we don't tell you when and how to do it. Our images are authentic and natural, made quietly and with sensitivity.

Do you only shoot in black and white?
No, we shoot in color all the time and we would be happy to shoot in color at your wedding. Any color file can be printed as a black and white or color picture or sepia-toned picture. We just like the classy, timeless way black and white looks.

Do you shoot digitally or with film?
We shoot both. It all depends on the timeline, budget and wishes of the client.

How soon will I see pictures after my wedding day?
Usually within two weeks. For albums we allow six weeks since you have to factor in time for design and production.

How does online proofing work?
We will put your photos online for a period of 3 months, or longer if you request. You have control over which photos are posted and who accesses the site. Prior to your wedding you will be given an "event key". You can distribute this password to the people you wish to allow access to the site. Reprints and albums can be ordered directly from the site by all your relatives and friends, saving you the bother of passing a proof album around. Your photos will be posted within 2 weeks of your wedding and you will be notified via e-mail. You then must approve and "release" the wedding to allow others to access it.

Go to http://www.pictage.com to see how this works. Type "sample event" in the "Search for an event" window. (You'll have to register your name and email address to see how the system works, but don't worry you are not committing yourself to anything - in fact you can make up a name and email address and you'll still be able to access the sample event.)
